Some good news in the year from hell!
2020 has been, and continues to be, a difficult year for everyone.
In the world of publishing, 2020 has caused unprecedented chaos on all levels, from acquisitions to sales. Authors debuting in 2020 have been particularly unfortunate. Many of us have seen huge dips in sales, cancelled events, and difficulty getting our work seen and bought.
Now that summer is over and my book has been out for a month and a half, Iβve had the chance to look back over the past few months and really take stock of all the ways my book release has been, well, ruined.
I had five events planned: a signing at a bookstore, a release event at a brewery, two massive conventions, and one literary festival. Four of the five have been cancelled, with the last transitioning to an online event.
Needless to say, this has been quite devastating not just in terms of sales and income, but in dampening my entire experience of releasing my first book baby into the world. It has also left me with an abundance of product: books and posters that were intended to go on sale at bookstores, at the brewery, and at conventions have been relegated to my closet. And although I have had immense support from my publisher and the amazing circle of readers Iβve grown over the past year, I would also love to see my book in more peopleβs hands as I would have had my events gone forward during the summer!
So! Given that I have extra books and posters waiting to go to their forever homes…
Iβm pleased to announce that Iβll be running a SUPER SPOOPY SALE from now until October 15! EVERYTHING in my shopβsigned paperbacks, posters, and bundlesβwill be 20% off! This is the perfect time to get your friends and fam an early Halloween gift!

Hi,
I’m so sorry to hear about all the cancellations etc. Don’t lose faith, Hollow Gods is absolutely brilliant and now the audiobook is coming out, things should start picking up. I can’t wait for the second book to come out and, if you want me to review for you again (but maybe can’t afford NetGalley) send me an email and I will review it for you anyway. You have a great talent, don’t lose heart.

Thank you so much, Caroline! Your encouragement means the world to me, and I’ve honestly been so blessed to have a dedicated group of readers that really believes in my work. I’d love for you to review the second book and will definitely be reaching out when I have eARCs!

Keep up the good work!
